Sustainability is not one concept, but a combination of several qualities. It goes much further than, for example, just wanting to reduce our emissions. Indeed, at Aliplast, we see this as a holistic approach between the various aspects. We strive to achieve the maximum by focusing on circularity, reducing the carbon footprint, sustainable construction and correct policies.

Circularity

Aluminium is an ideal material for circular construction because it is 100% recyclable without sacrificing quality. Aluminium recycling also uses 95% less energy than producing new aluminium, resulting in significant energy savings. Our products are carefully evaluated with life cycle assessments (LCAs) to identify their environmental impacts throughout their life cycle. We also have several products with the Cradle-to-Cradle (C2C) label – a globally recognised certificate confirming that a product complies with circular principles. Thanks to aluminium's long life cycle and strong characteristics, the material remains a durable choice in the long run.

Carbon footprint

Reducing our carbon footprint is essential for the future and to combat global warming. Aliplast actively contributes to this objective by taking various measures. For example, we operate on 100% green electricity, generated by our own solar panels along with purchasing green energy. We also strive to recycle materials as much as possible, thus further reducing our impact on the environment.

Sustainable building

Our aluminium systems contribute to the sustainability of buildings thanks to excellent insulation values, which help to efficiently manage energy consumption. Moreover, our solutions can support the achievement of BREEAM certification, which recognises a building's sustainable performance. Through environmental product declarations (EPDs), we ensure transparency regarding the sustainability of our profiles so that you can make an informed and responsible choice.

Policy

At Aliplast, health, safety and sustainability are central to our policies. We aim to provide a safe workplace for everyone and only work with partners who meet our standards. To ensure health and safety, we invest in prevention and training. We also hold four ISO certificates confirming our quality, safety and environmental care. Responsible purchasing and attention to climate and environmental protection are important pillars in our policy, as is careful waste management both in our production processes and on the shop floor.
